Redfern Family Shop

further information from family suggests that this shop was in Westwoodside. The photo is faded, but definitely says REDFERN over the shop door. There is also a thought that there may be some link with the LISTER family? Any information greatly appreciated.

Marriage of Ivy Redfern & Frank Mumby 1914

Front row from left to right:
Mr & Mrs Mumby (groom's parents); groom's brother; Frank Mumby; Ivy Redfern; little girl unknown; Hetty Redfern (bride's sister); Maria & Thomas Redfern (bride's parents)
Second row: Behind each side of the groom are Amy (bride's sister) & her husband Sydney Harris

West Stockwith Board School 30 May 1900

Amy Redfern 1889-1980 is standing next to the teacher on the right.
Amy's sister, Ivy Redfern b 1887 is standing next to the headmaster (Mr Hargreaves). Ivy was a pupil teacher.
It's possible that one of the boys may be their younger brother Thomas Flower Redfern b 1891

Marriage of Samuel Flower & Annie Marshall 1902

Marriage of Sydney Harris & Amy Redfern 14 July 1913

Amy Harris nee Redfern 1889 - 1980

A misprint - Amy Redfern's father was Thomas Redfern, not Mr S Redfern.
The bridesmaids were Gertrude Harris & Ivy Redfern. Unfortunately, no photos were taken.

Death of (Charles) Stephen Harris 1846 - 1935

'A well known retired farmer, Mr Charles Stephen Harris of Croft House Farm, West Stockwith, Gainsborough, passed away on Thursday (week), at the age of 90.'
